This commission's goal
is to promote social and community life in the parish by sponsoring
many activities during the year. See Parish Activities for these
events. "As an extension of the faith community of Holy Cross, Family
Life provides a Christian, relaxed atmosphere to gather, share, and
love as a family."
COMMUNITY BUILDING SPONSORS THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
SUNDAY BREAKFAST
Coffee and doughnuts are available on Sunday mornings following
Masses. Periodically a special breakfast is served.
PARISH FEAST DAY
On a Sunday near the Feast of the Triumph the Holy Cross in September the
parish hosts a dinner for all.
Family Fun Committee (One event per month)
Please make a proposal to the Community Building Commission for the
desired month. What do you love to do? Share it with the
parishioners. Possible proposals accepted could be events like bike ride,
bowling, in-house movie, walk in the park, campouts, card night, poetry reading,
fishing, batting cage, horseback ride, "Super-Bowl" dinner, etc.
HALLOWEEN PARTY
Each year Family Life has a haunted house and Halloween Party.
Everyone in the parish is invited to attend. This is a great party
for all ages.
EASTER EGG HUNT
An Easter Egg Hunt is an annual event for the children.
